Dr. Candace Johnson
DNP, MBA, FNP-C
Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Candace Johnson is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with 11 years of experience in healthcare.
She founded A Safe Space to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered sexual health services grounded in clarity, respect, and evidence-based care. Throughout her years in practice, she recognized that sexual health is often overlooked, misunderstood, or minimized within traditional healthcare settings. Her work is driven by the belief that every patient deserves accurate information, compassionate support, and a provider who is not afraid to address sensitive or stigmatized topics.
She approaches sexual health with openness and confidence, encouraging patients to advocate for themselves while ensuring they feel safe, heard, and supported.
She remains deeply committed to reducing stigma, expanding access to high-quality care, and providing trauma-informed services that honor each patient's autonomy and dignity.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Johnson enjoys many Colorado festivals, Zumba, going to the movies, and volunteering in the community.
